<<< Go Back to Mizpah Shrine News
Nobles,
I don’t know if any of you read the Allah-Bi or what is
inside, in April’s issue there are two mistakes. Whoever
calls me first, I will buy lunch on Wednesday at
noon at Mildred’s Lounge.
March was a full month with lots of activities going
on. Beer and Chips had a 120 Nobles and Ladies
attending, also the Beer tasting by the Director Staff
was well attended. The children really enjoyed the
Easter Bunny party put on by the Yoshi.
Mizpah happenings in April are huge! At the Stated
Meeting we’re going to serve you fish. It will be the
first test for our future Fish Fries. The Hillbillies will
be serving. Hope to have about a 100 Nobles try out
our new fish dinner. I know a man that did many
times.
April 16th is our Spring Ceremonial, beginning at
8:00 am. The ladies will be excused about 10:30
am for their program. Membership Chairman’s Bill
Leedy and Bill Bryan would like to see about 21 new
Shriners that day.
The membership has to be aware that the Black Camel
and those who do not keep their dues current can
eventually put Mizpah out of business. We need to
head in the right direction. The good or bad direction
is all of responsibility. Let’s move forward by getting
new members and keeping those we already have.
Upcoming Events:
• Hats off to for the kids. The Ball Committee is
working hard for a fun filled evening. Have you made
your reservations? It promises to be an evening full of
fun and enjoyment. See you there.
• GLSA news about rooms will be talked about by
Roger Weaver, PP at the April meeting.
• Did you hear what I heard? Onion sprouts
are popping up in Georgia. What a wonderful way to
make money in a short time. Ron Harruff, PP needs
your orders and your help when onions come in and
with some young Nobles to work the Onion trailer at the
Temple.
• Sportsman Raffle Chairman Steve Cowan, PP
still needs to sell 996 tickets more than last year. He’s a
little worried about that, so we need to put a smile on his
face by surpassing that amount.
Congratulations to Queen Karen Kippert and her
Officers for a wonderful Nile installation.
In closing, “Your Divan is working for you”, your
presence is all we ask.
